Richard Manfredi has been a professional stage manager and director since 1984. He started his career in the theatre earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatrical Design from Ithaca College. He spent the next 20 years working as a stage manager and art director in theatre, television and film, all the while honing his skills as a director.
In 2004 he began directing the long-running One Life to Live. Having started a 10 year association with OLTL in 1999 as a stage manager and going on to become a full-time director, Rick earned four Emmy Award nominations (2 wins) and eight DGA Award nominations (3 wins).
In 2009, seeing a dramatic shift in the television landscape he moved away from daytime drama, and has since been working freelance as a director, AD, stage manager and screenwriter. Most recently, in 2014 he formed Moose & Squirrel Productions with his wife Yana Tammah.
As an educator Rick has taught multi-camera acting and directing at Ithaca College and Wildflower Studios in NYC.
